For corrections, additions, and data errors, write to editor@unicodecharacter.com. That is the only address; there is no form, no support portal, and no chat widget.

This is a one-person reference project. I read every message, but replies may take up to a week. Email about data corrections always takes priority over feature requests.

Reporting a data error

If a field on a character page looks wrong — a name, a category, a UTF-8 byte sequence, an HTML entity — please include both the codepoint (in U+XXXX form) and the full page URL. If the error is in a block or data table, link the page and quote the value you believe is incorrect. The faster I can find what you saw, the faster I can fix it.

Suggesting a character page

There are 154,998 assigned characters; the site does not yet have a page for every one. If you would like a specific codepoint promoted into the editorial queue, send the codepoint and a sentence about why you find yourself looking it up. Practical motivations help me prioritize.

What I will not do

There is no comments section here, by design. Comment systems on reference sites tend to fill with stale advice, off-topic links, and noise that outlasts the page itself. If you have something to add to a topic, an email is the right channel. If it changes the page, your contribution will be folded in and credited if you would like.

If you have not already, read the about page for the editorial approach, the data sources page for where every fact comes from, and the changelog for the most recent refresh. The character inspector may be useful when you are about to send me a tricky string. The full set of blocks is also a good place to confirm a codepoint before you write.
